Each report takes a single structural question in the Iraqi economy and works it through to an operating conclusion, with every figure sourced, dated and reconciled. Previews are open. The full reports are available on request.
Petrol has sat at exactly 850 dinars a litre on all 66 GENQ observation dates since 13 March 2026 and the power tariff has not moved since 1 December 2025, yet the same litre costs 64.9 US cents to one buyer and 55.8 to another.
Iraq's 2024 census records 8.34 million dwellings against 8.05 million households, yet the state's stated shortfall has risen to about 5 million units, while buyers at Bismayah who have already paid a 10 percent deposit cannot complete because the lending bank has no money.
GENQ tracks 78 Iraqi projects worth $217.9 billion of which three are complete, while the state that must fund a quarter of them spent 236 billion dinars on capital expenditure in the whole of May 2026, an 87 percent fall against the 2025 monthly average.
Figures are drawn from the GENQ data estate: the Iraq Business Viability Index, the Sector Vitality Radar, the GENQ Project Tracker, the GENQ Iraq Sector Map, the GENQ risk model and GENQ exchange rate monitoring, alongside external sources named inline with their publication date. Index readings are point in time and are revised as new data is acquired. Where coverage is partial, the coverage rate is published rather than hidden.
GENQ produces tailored focus studies on the same data estate, typically in two to four weeks, in Arabic, English or Kurdish.
